Splendid illos. Love the line value, the character design, and the use of black.

There are some treasures there.

Sort of reminds me of a clipart book that I have of 1940's big-headed people.

These are beautiful. Would it be okay if I used them for teaching my ESL class when they're appropriate? You can't find anything that clear cut in our modern school books.

Even if some are a bit to obscure ^^, elum and elm.

We used these in school until the 1960's. I have the full set.

I tried to show them to a new teacher who snorted dismissively, refused even to look at them, with the comment that grammar is no longer taught and not important.

Go figure.
