The following doodles are from a piece in the
May 24, 1937 issue of Life Magazine discussing
Russell M. Arundels' book 'Everybody's Pixillated'.
I'd love to see a copy of this book!

It Has Been A While
yup.
the ability to recognize and remember realizations
and implement them via attention tends to itself be forgotten.
as if it's day one again.
to actually have to remind yourself that all of creation is awe inspiring.
to remember to breathe.
to not dolt on the potentiality. to slough off dead cells.
to mine juvenalia. to recall first loves. to pour out and reserve.
well there are many ways. and the tracing of error is one. watching the nods and counting the dreams are two.
cataloguing all actions. smiling for the camera.
the perception of time. wheels in the sky. long growths.
loss of ego via arrogance.
an archive of minutiae. a lathering of ghosts. a doorknob.
echos in the still. closet born of wanting. reaching for the tongue.
---
interrupting television and the constellations of taste : an approach to a furtive stance on culture
welcoming the mudbucket : rhyme and reasonesque posturings of hair tribes
a collection of standstills : root and impasse - from striding gas to the planet cards, things i haven't done
CIMC

oktolc/e/7/17:____: outer workings
---
oh yeah, nebulas are gods. the gods once worshipped worldwide.
the passions, the minor deities, the demons and the monsters.
bulge at the equator and GIANTS!
doorways for the creatures and co-mingling.

A Possibility
It would seem that I am tempted to do what I've repeatedly told myself I wouldn't...
and that is post 'word driven' posts. Who reads all these blogs ? I just like looking at the pictures.
But it also would seem that I am a little on the delinquent side of things so I'll begin like this...
self-referential with the threat of infinite regress.
I'm just getting warmed up.

A Little Slow On The Upload
so...some of you fine browsers may have noticed that the posts are few and far between.
i'm in a bit of a state of upheaval since returning to reality. i've been working on the shop lots and it's still nowhere near complete (if it will ever be...hmmm...no one knows). i see things that i tell myself i'll scan and upload but i don't. same with the drawing blog and all such things.
mayhap, i'll get more of my act together and juice up this joint.
mayhap, i'll post words until i figure more out.
thanks for your patience, great unknown.
more to come.

Art for Articule Auction
I just made this thing. It's one of my hand carved stamps all over various details from event and art flyers.
I made it as part of a stuffed envelope to be auctioned off as a fundraiser for Articule.

Another Noisy Booklet
Lately, when I find myself at the copyshop running some graphic errand, I either fish into the recycling bins for fodder or hopelessly remix whatever images I am carrying and whip off an edition of ten of some weird little noise book. Here is one, dated the 18th of January, 2006. I end up mailing these things out to whoever I happen to be artistically enamoured with at the moment. This one seems to be composed of two drawings, overlapped and remixed, that I drew for Warren Hill's zine "2$ (Comes With Mix Tape)"

Space Creature Duplicating Masters
I lucked out when my friend Ian, an educator, handed me a bushel of old teaching aids. In that pile was this gem, Space Creature Word Slides (Teaching Stuff, USA, 1979, #TS601).
From the copy:
I didn't bother scanning in the word slides.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SPACE CREATURES !
Can you smell the purple ??
